Aims and Objectives

Foto Friendship is a volunteer led community project. At no cost to the participants the aim is to-

• Foster creativity, communication and connection between the children of Timor-Leste and Australia.
• Teach participants photographic skills and explore visual story telling mediums and techniques.
• Facilitate the creation of personal stories told through photography.
• Raise awareness about the history and contemporary life of children living in Timor-Leste.
• Build friendships and a sense of international community.
• Create ongoing communication and collaboration between school communities.
• Create a sense of wider community involvement through the creation of personal photo stories to be exhibited in online and public exhibitions.
