Foto Friendship 2020

In 2020 Foto Friendship travelled to the rural areas of Timor-Leste. Our Timorese facilitator, Anastácio Maderia de Araújo worked with students at Escola Técnica Vocacional Agrícola in Anastácio's home village of Maubisse. Maubisse is situated in the mountainous district of Ainaro.

Foto Friendship 2019

In 2019 Foto Friendship welcomed two new schools Eskola 5 de Maio in Timor-Leste's Capital Dili and Springwood High School in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Every year Springwood High School takes a group of students to Timor-Leste to work on various humanitarian building projects.

In 2018 Foto Friendship was thrilled to work with Canley Vale High School in Western Sydney for the first time. The Foto Friendship team worked with a group of girls studying photography and digital media under the guidance of their dedicated teacher Sandra Choy-Simpson.

Foto Friendship 2017

In July 2017 our Australian and Timorese facilitators worked together with new foto friends at Eskola Cristal in Timor-Leste’s capital Dili. Eskola Cristal is home to a diverse range of students from all over Timor-Leste. Sixteen talented students took part in a series of workshops run over two weeks.
